About UP

University Productions, commonly referred to as UP, is Lehigh University’s programming board. We put on many of the events on campus for all students. Our events include Sundaze, movies on the weekends in Kenner Theatre, Broadway shows, and the Thursday Night Comedy Series at Lamberton. We aim to please as many students as possible and most of our events are free or at a greatly reduced price.

UP has five committees, an Executive Board, and is advised by the Director of Student Activities. Each committee has two directors that guide their committees. Since we are student run, any and all students have input and can help to put on events.

Our five committees are Music, Comedy, Special Events, Marketing, and Arts and Excursions (A&E). Music brings different bands to campus and hosts the annual Battle of the Bands in the Spring Semester. Bands have included Gym Class Heroes, Cake, Boys Like Girls, P.O.S., Edison Glass, and Nightmare of You. Comedy brings different comedians to campus; they host a large Family Weekend show and a large Greek week show, in addition to their Thursday Night Comedy Series. Marketing helps to provide advertisement to all of our events. From posters to giveaways they do it all. Additionally the designed and maintain the website. If it is off-campus then A&E runs it, from going to a corn maze, trips to Philly and New York, and Yankee vs. Red Sox games just to name a few. All other types of events fall into Special Events. Meetings are held weekly and are listed on each committees’ respective page.

We are always looking for more input from students and involvement from other organization. Please browse our website for more information and feel free to contact us with any questions.
